What we already know.

The class was held in familiar church here in South Bend, and in classic workshop style whatever happens in class STAYS in class. Don’t worry, there wasn’t much to say anyway. We didn’t interact much. There was a video about a child who committed suicide because the foster care system had failed him, other videos and lectures about child abuse, and a how the Department of Child and Family Services. It was all very interesting, but we were totally sleepy. We have 5 more to go to get our pre-adoptive, foster care liscence. (YaWN!)

Our next sesions are about seperation, attachment and placement. None of these sessions seem “happy,” which makes everyone want to become THE BEST FOSTER PARENT EVER!
